Jesse Eisenberg Lately: Jesse Eisenberg
Thank you so much for the reblog and for the questions Jesse Eisenburg Lately! I’m not very familiar with Tumblr yet although I’ve been using this for some time, and I wasn’t sure how to reply to your questions. I hope this reaches you…
About your questions…
The title - I never name my celebrity portraits except with the celebrity’s name. I’m not sure why, but it’s easier that way… Maybe it’s laziness. ;)
The time - It took me about… under 10 hours. I started it yesterday as a speed painting when I was waiting for my friend to come over, and I continued with it this afternoon. So it didn’t take that long, but usually I’m not that fast with portraits. I had a good model, I guess. :)
Background - Well, I’ve been drawing forever, and I work as a graphic designer and an illustrator. I’m pretty much self taught in drawing and painting, and I concentrate mainly on fashion illustrations and celebrity portraits. And I’m from Finland.
Theme - I didn’t plan the theme of sadness beforehand… The themes usually come to life when I’m painting, and because Jesse’s eyes are always a little sad looking, I emphasized that in the painting. I usually try to bring something “different” to my paintings to make them look unique.
I hope my answers helped and “opened” the portrait a little bit more to you. :)

I watched “The Social Network” a while ago, and ever since I’ve wanted to paint Jesse Eisenberg. He has such an unique face and very personal facial features - not to mention his hair. It just took me a while to decide what kind…
