A portrait from me after a long time… The character is a fictional rocker boy called Vince, and I got the idea of him when I was listening to Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars”. I don’t even know why because the song is very beautiful - it has nothing to do with punk rock.

I also wanted to paint something different and edged from my usual “pretty boys”. I guess Vince could be seen as pretty, too… But at least he’s 100% punk and all about attitude. Stylizing him was very interesting because I could really just let go and have fun, especially with his hair and make up. Everything crazy looked good on him. His lips weren’t painted in the original sketch, but I think the black lipstick works perfectly. If there wasn’t any strong color on them, he would look half-finished, kind of.

Thanks for the earring-design goes to my best friend. She’s started to wear those lately, and although they’re very cool looking, I still think they’re creepy! D:
