I was listening to “Pimeä Onni” by Jippu and Samuli Edelmann and got this idea of a couple who are very much in love but judged by others. The song is pretty much about that, and I really love the cover-version of it. Not really the original one by Crash.

And I got to try painting in black-and-white with this one. I’ve read that it’s easier to get your values and colors right if you make the base in grey. And I think it really helped and made the painting process a lot easier, so I’ll probably use that technique in the future too…

Nevertheless, this one took me so many hours to be finished. I’m glad it’s done now. Phew. Some reference used on the guy’s hair, face and jacket.
