There was a cute bumble bee on my window sill the other day, sunbathing. It’s been pretty chilly here, even though it’s spring, and I guess the bumble bee was trying to warm up. He was really cute. ♥

And that’s how I got the idea for this speed painting, called “Hornet”. He’s a human-hornet hybrid, and I desperately wanted to paint black eyes. I love black eyes. And that’s honey streaming from his mouth. The feelers are my favorite part from this piece for some reason…
