It seems I have a thing for human-insect hybrids at the moment because my previous illustration was a half hornet, half human, and now I’ve drawn another hybrid. This time it’s a wasp girl called “Honeycomb”. I think Tron Legacy’s C.L.U had a huge influence on me with the colors I used and with the outfit.

There were more details in the original sketch, i.e hair and other decorations, but I left them out because I think they were too much. I almost painted the hair, but I think if the girl was some kind of another insect, it would have worked better. Wasps are pretty simple structure-wise so the helmet is a better choice in this one than long hair.

And I think the colors work perfectly. I wouldn’t change anything… and that’s rare for me.
